As Curaleaf Hemp’s quality assurance (QA)/quality control (QC) technician you will inspect, test, and sample materials, parts, or products for defects and any deviations from specifications. The technician will reject anything that does not meet with company standards, including products, materials, and equipment used by the company in processing. Curaleaf Hemp’s QA/QC technician will observe production operations and equipment to ensure that specifications are being met and to make or order necessary adjustments to processes or assemblies. The technician will discuss results and findings with those in charge of the products & recommend any required corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products & recommend necessary corrective actions
  • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications
  • Gathering Dept. of Agriculture licensure from all our vendors-travel required*
  • Ensuring every unique batch we source has a full panel COA and that it meets our specifications
  • Every unique batch of finished product we get from a co-manufacturer has a COA and has been checked to make sure it meets our specification
  • Verifying / Auditing the standards and credentials of the facilities that manufacture our products
  • Ensuring we have QC protocols in place and a documented procedure for dealing with any customer complaints
  • Ensuring we have a Safety Data Sheet for our co-manufacturing partners on our raw materials
  • All our reagents have a COA and clean SDS
  • Maintaining a data base where information is organized and accessible
  • Testing product compatibility and stability
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 2+ years of hand’s-on QA/QC technician experience
  • A keen attention to detail is central to the job in order to detect defects that could be easily missed by the consumer but still present a safety risk
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively when reporting issues and defects is necessary
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and other drawings that detail product specifications
  • Experience with measuring tools is required as well, and a quality assurance technician should be able to work under pressure.
  • Inspect, test, and sample materials or assembled parts or products for defects and deviations from specifications
  • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments
  • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications
  • Approximate travel required for the first 9-12 months would be 75% travel. *The travel will be domestic (ME, NC, AZ, GA,PA) this year and could be international at some point
  • Close proximity to a major airport would be preferred (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Charlotte)
