Director of Co-Op Operations, Las Vegas

We are looking for a Director of Co-Op Operations for Curaleaf Nevada to direct and guide the success of the partner tenants on our extensive 37-acre cultivation and processing facility in the Amargosa Valley of Nevada.  Each of these “Co-Ops” operates a cultivation or production facility under one of the licenses owned by Curaleaf’s Acres Cultivation or Acres Medical subsidiaries that is located within one of the facilities owned by Curaleaf. The principal work site for this position will likely be at the Amargosa Valley Acres Farm that is located approximately 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada.  You can choose where you reside to handle this role, but realize that may be a lot of road travel required to commute to the Farm or to come to Las Vegas to oversee Co-Ops operating at the open window kitchen at the Acres Dispensary in Las Vegas or to attend management meetings in the Las Vegas corporate offices. 

Reporting directly to the President of Curaleaf Nevada, this individual will be charged with working directly with the leadership of each of the ten Co-Op companies as well as with the Nevada leadership team to ensure that the Co-Ops are able to successfully produce products under our licenses while at the same time being compliant with state and local regulations that govern the use of these licenses.  This will involve not only facilitating complex compliance matters, but also assisting to marshal the appropriate support resources to help the Co-Ops be successful, and measuring and managing the level and amount of resources consumed by the Co-Ops in the operation of their business.  It involves building strong working relationships and opening strong lines of communications with both our Co-Op partners as well as with state and corporate team members and regulatory agencies and officials. It requires an individual with strong leadership, communication and relationship building skills who has a healthy appreciation of the tricky Nevada regulatory environment over the cannabis industry.


·       Review and understand the contracts that govern the relationships with all Co-Op companies

·       Develop an understanding of the processes and procedures required for each type of Co-Op partner to be successful under their contract with the Company

·       Develop relationships with Co-Op leaders and managers and work to understand their needs and what it will take for them to be successful

·       Work with Curaleaf state and corporate management and functional expert teams to determine what assistance and support can be provided to the Co-Ops to help ensure their success

·       Develop measurement metrics for understanding the challenges and successes of the Co-Ops, to determine relative success rates, and to understand over-consumption of resources, risks to successful operations, potential compliance issues and solutions and other key performance indicators as appropriate

·       Work directly with the State President to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to Co-Op tenants and to ensure they are properly positioned for success

·       Communicate and work through operational and compliance issues with Co-Ops

·       Set up and facilitate/manage regular, repeatable processes and meetings to facilitate communication, cooperation and coordination between Curaleaf/Acres teams and Co-Ops

·       Provide regular reports on the status of Co-Op health, performance, compliance and profitability to state and corporate management

·       Other tasks as needed to facilitate the management of Co-Op relationships and success


·       Bachelor’s Degree in business management or similar area of study required; Masters or other advanced degree preferred

·       At least 2 years’ experience managing complex vendor or contractor relationships; in a strict regulatory industry is a plus

·       Prior experience working in a strictly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, food or other similar industry is required; prior experience in the cannabis industry is a plus

·       Excellent verbal and written communications skills

·       Strong relationship development and management skills

·       Outstanding organizational and planning skills; Must be flexible and able to keep focus in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

·       Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

·       Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
